Hamedan:

  Hamedan city is located in the middle of the province and area of 2831 square kilometers (14.5 percent of province area).According to the last administrative divisions, this city includes three sections: central and Sharae about 8% of the total number of sections in the province, 9 villages, equivalent to 12 percent of the total number of municipalities (villages in the province), 4 cities (Hamedan, Maryanaj, Qhahavand and Joraghan) equal to 15% of the total number of the cities in the  province. Hamedan city from the natural point of view is located in a mountainous region. Alvand mountain range is located in the south of the city, and the tallest peak reached to the peak height of 3574 meters above sea level. The major rivers of the city which are supposed as the aerial parts of the country's main rivers are considered to be the Ghare-Chai, Yalfan, and Abbas Abad River. Feature of this city, is the map which is designed by a German engineer and is known as radial map, which connect the 6 main streets to city's main square (Imam Khomeini Sq) and boulevards have been cut off in the first and second rings, which is unique in its kind. At the beginning of each main street two silvery domes are embedded for the name of our 12 Imams, which shows that being religious and being a Shiite town from  long time ago. (Famenin city in 1389 was separated from the city of Hamedan.)


Malayer:

  Malayer city in an area of 3210 square kilometers, makes up about 16.5 percent of the area, and in terms of geographical coordinates, this city is limited of the north to the city of Hamedan and Tuyserkan, in south to Lorestan, Markazi province of the east and the west to Nahavand. According to the last administrative divisions it includes:5 cities like: Azandaryan , Samen, Malaye,Jokar,Zanganeh and 4 parts named as Jokar, Zand, Samen and central does, as well as 15 villages and 208 villages with residents.The city has a semi-dry and cold weather. From The total area of Malayer 600 square kilometers of the city are plains and mountains of the highlands and mountainous borderland, and Lashgardar Mountain which is 2928 meters above sea level is the highest region in the city. Haram Abad river is the most important river in the city with about 45 km, is one of  the main branch of the river is Gamasyab River, which is formed by  joining of the large rivers and streams and eventually emerged as Haram or water.


Tuyserkan:

  Tuyserkan city with an area of 1556 square kilometers is taken 7.98 percent of the province's land area. According to the last administrative divisions, Tuyserkan city includes 3 cities called:Tuyserkan, Serkan Farasfaj and 2 parts called: central and Ghelghel River, 7 villages and 108 villages with resident. The city has a semi-dry and cold weather and the rainfall regime has a Mediterranean climate type. Tuyserkan city is located in valleys of the south-western slopes of mountains, and is the mountainous city. The tallest mountains are khangormaz with an altitude of 2868 meters above sea level and the lowest area of the village is about 1,555 meters high. Two major rivers originate from the region of Tuyserkan. Karzanrood River which is originated from the High lands of Gashany valley and Sanjozan and around the village of Arikan, it comes together with two branches of the Sarabi and Serkan and they form a river called Ghelghel rood, which extends to the southwest and Khorram, which originated from the northeast valleys of the city, in the southern pars of Alvand mountain and after joining Kondor river it flows to the west.


Nahavand: 

  Nahavand city with an area of 1535 square kilometers makes up about 7.87% of the area in the province. This city located in the southwest of the province; in north it is limited the city of Tuyserkan, from northwest and west to provinces of Kermanshah, from south to Lorestan, and east to Malayer. The city has got a cold and dry climate and the rainfall regime is of Mediterranean climate type. Nahavand plain is composed of a long and narrow valley with a 640 sq km area and formed by the alluvial deposits. The tallest mountain peaks in the southern parts of this city is about 3316 meters high. Gamasyab River in Nahavand is one of the main river is the city, and comes from the Gamasyab spring and after passing about 30 km some parts of rivers and Malayer Tuyserkan rivers will be  added, and then enter the Gharesou river in the province of Kermanshah.The average annual discharge volume of Gamasyab River is approximately 630 million cubic meters. According to the administrative divisions in 1382, this township has two cities named as Nahavand and Firuzan, Barzoul, Giyan and four areas as: Central, Zarin Dasht and Khezel,Giyan and 9 villages and 169 villages with residents.


 Kabudarahang:

  Kabudarahang city has an area of 3816 square kilometers, which is allocated about 19.6% of the total area of the provinces. The township has three cities name as: Kabudarahang city (as the city center), Shirinsu and Gol Tapeh, 10 villages and 128villages with residents. Kabudarahang city has a cold weather and the rainfall regime of semi-arid and Mediterranean type of climate, and the highest point of the city lies at an altitude of 2898 meters above sea level.
Two rivers of Tasaran and Damagh as a head of Kaslan River, which is the major rivers of this catchment, have a torrential nature and they respectively originate from the Cheraghi, Boghrati and Soubashi.


Razan:

  Razan city is located in an area of 2729 square kilometers and allocated about 14% of the area in the province and is limited from north to the city of Zanjan and Qazvin, from the south to Hamedan, from east to Kabudarahang and from west to Markazi Province. According to the last administrative divisions it has 3 cities called: Razan, Ghorveh Darjazin, and Damagh and 3 parts like: the central part, Ghorveh Darjazin and Sardrood, 7 villages and 126 villages with residents. The city has a cold and dry climate and its monthly rainfall is of Mediterranean type. In the northeast of the city, locate Kharghan Mountain, and the tallest  parts of it is at an altitude of 2799 meters above sea level and the main river catchment areas of the city is Khamigan and Razan.


Asad Abad:

  Asad Abad is locates in an area of 1195 square kilometers and makes up about 6.1 percent of the area. The city is limited from northwest to Kurdistan, from east and northeast of the city to Bahar, according to the last administrative divisions it has a city under the name of Asad Abad, 6 villages and 99 villages with residents also this city has a semi-Cold weather half the rainfall regime; it is of Mediterranean type climate.  The main altitude of this township is heights of Gharavol Khaneh Mountains with a height of 2648 meters above sea level. The most Water -filled river in Asad Abad is Shahab Aghajanbolaghi River, which originate from the from the heights of the surrounding plains and comes into the plains of Asad Abad.


Bahar:

  Bahar city, is one of the eight cities in the province, with an area about 1334 kilometers, and makes up 7 percent of the area, according to the last administrative divisions it has about 3 parts (Central, Lalejin and Saleh Abad), 3 cities (Bahar, Saleh Abad, Lalejin), 6 villages and 70 village with residents. Naturally the weather is dry and the rainfall regime is of Mediterranean type.
Alvand mountain range in south-west of the city of Hamedan with a height of 35740 meters is the highest point; the rest of the city area is covered by Hamedan-Bahar plain. The output of the Bahar waters is located in Kushk Abad with a height of 1680 meters. Current River in the city are: Saleh Abad, Bahador Beig and Ghare Aghaj.


 Famenin:

    Famenin township is one of the of Hamadan province's nine townships which is located in the North East of the province. The city is limited in north by Razan, in south by Hamedan, in east by Markazi and west by Kaboudrahang. Famenin Township has also two districts, one city and 4 villages. It covers an area of ​​approximately 1287 square kilometers, and forms 6.7% of the province's total area. This place is considered as an important center of agricultural production in the province.
